Betclic ELITE ProA top team - Metropolitans (21-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Le Portel (9-19) in Levallois 99-94. Metropolitans shot 63.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Metropolitans especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Le Portel was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Vincent Hunter (203-1994, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Israeli Tomer Ginat (202-1994, agency: Avi Zilberman) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Devin Davis (198-1995, college: Houston) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American-Jamaican power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Metropolitans have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-7 record. Le Portel lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Fos-Provence. Metropolitans will play against SIG Strasbourg (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Le Portel will play against JDA Dijon (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
