Regular Season Round 14: Pesaro - Fortitudo BO 88-87

Fifteenth-ranked Fortitudo BO (8-18) was very close to win a game against tenth ranked Pesaro (12-14) on Wednesday. Pesaro managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Pesaro dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Fortitudo BO's 30 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fortitudo BO 38-18 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Tyrique Jones (206-1997, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and naturalized Argentinian Carlos Delfino (198-1982) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even 22 points and 5 assists by Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-1988, college: Quinnipiac) did not help to save the game for Fortitudo BO. The former international Pietro Aradori (195-1988) added 22 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pesaro have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Trieste. Loser Fortitudo BO keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Pesaro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fortitudo BO will play against Varese (#11) and hope to secure a win.
