Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Sassari (13-12) defeated at home 13th ranked Treviso (10-15) 94-80 on Wednesday. Sassari dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Treviso's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-1989, agency: BeoBasket) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American forward Jason Burnell (201-1997, college: JSU) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American center Henry Sims (208-1990, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Treviso. Polish swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-1992) added 17 points for the guests. Treviso's coach Massimiliano Menetti tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sassari maintains sixth position with 13-12 record. Loser Treviso keeps the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. Sassari will meet bottom-ranked Cremona (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Treviso will have a break next round.
