There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Jesolo (9-18) beat at home 11th ranked Lumezzane V. (11-16) 63-56 on Wednesday. Jesolo made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Jesolo outrebounded Lumezzane V. 43-30 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tommaso Rossi (198-1999) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Francesco Quaglia (207-1988, agency: BIG) accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Center Samuel Dilas (206-1999) came up with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Massimiliano Fossati (194-1993) added 12 points and 4 steals respectively for Lumezzane V. in the defeat. Four Lumezzane V. players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Jesolo. They moved-up to twelfth place in B, which they share with Crema and Bologna Basket. Lumezzane V. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Jesolo will meet Bernareggio (#16) on the road in the next round. Lumezzane V. will play against San Vendemiano (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
