An interesting game for Maccabi Tel-Aviv which hosted in Tel Aviv Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi Tel-Aviv had an easy win 92-74. Maccabi Tel-Aviv players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. International power forward Roman Sorkin (208-1996, college: Oregon) scored 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard John DiBartolomeo (183-1991, college: Rochester) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American point guard DJ Cooper (183-1990, college: Ohio) responded with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and his fellow American import Chris Babb (196-1990, college: Iowa St.) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Tel-Aviv will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Galil Elion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
