Regular Season Round 27: Ozzano - Roseto 83-102

Rather predictable result when second ranked Roseto (21-6) rolled over 6th ranked Ozzano (16-11) in Ozzano dell Emilia 102-83 on Saturday. Roseto shot 60.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Roseto looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-1980, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!). Guard Alfonso Zampogna (185-2000, agency: SLN) accounted for 17 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Roseto's coach Danilo Quaglia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Ukrainian center Dimitri Klyuchnyk (211-2001) came up with 30 points and point guard Simone Bonfiglio (183-1988, agency: SLN) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Ozzano in the defeat. Roseto maintains second place in B with 21-6 record having just three points less than leader Agrigento. Loser Ozzano keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Roseto will meet at home Teramo (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ozzano will play against Imola (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
