Regular Season Round 27: Cesena - Teramo 76-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Teramo and 11th ranked Cesena had identical 11-15 record. But Cesena was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Teramo 79-76 on Saturday night. It was an exceptional evening for center Riccardo Antonelli (208-1988) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Nicolo Bertocco (198-1995) accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Teramo's coach Giorgio Salvemini allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-1992, agency: Interperformances) came up with 20 points and 6 assists and guard Simon Anumba (193-1996) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cesena in the defeat. Teramo (12-15) moved-up to eleventh place in B which they share with defeated Cesena. Loser Cesena keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with Lumezzane V.. Teramo will meet league's second-placed Roseto on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cesena will play against Civitanova (#15) and hope to secure a win.
