Very predictable result when ninth ranked Trieste (13-14) won against at home bottom-ranked Cremona (7-20) 84-72 on Saturday. Trieste dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cremona's 28. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-1993) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Mali forward Sagaba Konate (203-1997, college: WVU) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks for the winning side. Four Trieste players scored in double figures. Lithuanian guard Adas Juskevicius (194-1989, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 24 points and Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Cremona in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Trieste. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Reggio Emilia. Cremona lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Trieste will meet Brindisi (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cremona will play against Brescia and hope to secure a win.
