Fourth-ranked San Vendemiano (18-9) was very close to win a game against first ranked Cremona (24-3) on Saturday. Cremona managed to secure only one-point victory 62-61. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Vendemiano. It was a good game for guard Enrico Gobbato (196-1998) who saved his team from a defeat with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Carlo Fumagalli (193-1996, agency: Players Group) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Jacopo Vedovato (205-1995) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Giacomo Baldini (190-1996) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for San Vendemiano. Cremona have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in B with 24-3 record, which they share with Cividale. San Vendemiano at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Mestre. Cremona is looking forward to face Bergamo (#5) on the road in the next round.
