Second Stage Round 2: H.Jerusalem - H.Haifa 80-67
Date: April 17, 2022
Rather predictable result when Hapoel Jerusalem won against at home Hapoel Haifa 80-67 on Sunday. Hapoel Jerusalem dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Haifa's 20. Hapoel Jerusalem forced 19 Hapoel Haifa turnovers. American guard Jalen Adams (191-1995, college: UConn) notched 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and naturalized American Willy Workman (198-1990, college: Amherst) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach Yotam Halperin used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American swingman James Ennis (201-1990, college: LBSU) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Haifa. His fellow American import guard Kadeem Allen (187-1993, college: Arizona) added 12 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the guests. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Hapoel Holon in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hapoel Haifa will play against Galil Elion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
