Regular Season Round 21: Cactus - Mega 75-87

There was no surprise in Tbilisi where 10th ranked Cactus (6-14) were defeated by eighth ranked Mega (8-10) 87-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Mega. Cactus managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was forward Demonte Flannigan (201-1995, college: CSU) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Tyrell Corbin (185-1992, college: CSUB) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals. Five Mega players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Quinterian McConico (203-1995, college: AAMU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Denzel Livingston (193-1993, college: UIW) added 17 points respectively. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place. Cactus lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Mega's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Tskhum-Abkhazeti.
