There was an upset when higher ranked Vicenza (14-13) was smashed on the road by fourteenth ranked Jesolo (9-18) 78-58 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tommaso Rossi (198-1999) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Mattia Favaretto (191-2000) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Point guard Fabrizio Piccone (182-1998) came up with 21 points and power forward Andrea Petracca (197-1997) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Vicenza in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Jesolo. They moved-up to twelfth place in B, which they share with Crema and Bologna Basket. Loser Vicenza keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Desio and Fiorenzuola. Jesolo will meet Bernareggio (#16) on the road in the next round. Vicenza will play against the league's second-placed Cividale (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
