Regular Season Round 30: Chalons-Reims - ASVEL 77-90

ProA U21 top team - ASVEL (25-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Chalons-Reims (16-11) 90-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chalons-Reims. ASVEL made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Chalons-Reims only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Chalons-Reims 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. ASVEL players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Chalons-Reims was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Gambian center Babacar Mbye (212-2002) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Romain Parmentelot (190-2004) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by forward Thomas Klein (201-2002) did not help to save the game for Chalons-Reims. Forward Ibrahim Dansoko (205-2002) added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
