There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Betanzos (13-16) edged on the road higher ranked Marin (13-15) 90-87 on Saturday. Point guard Jorge Abelleira (180-1997) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and center Marcos Rozas (202-1983) supported him with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Four Betanzos players scored in double figures. Betanzos' coach Diego Fernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 24 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Dramel Hogan (194, college: Rochester, MI) did not help to save the game for Marin. Daniel Fernandez added 26 points. Betanzos moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Marin keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Gijon Basket.
