The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Roseto as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Roseto smashed 11th ranked Teramo at home 86-55. Roseto looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Teramo's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-1980, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Andrea Pastore (187-1994) who added 11 points during the contest. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Roseto's coach Danilo Quaglia felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Nicolo Bertocco (198-1995) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Riccardo Antonelli (208-1988) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Vigevano. Teramo at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Varese and Firenze. Teramo will play next round against Civitanova trying to get back on the winning streak. Roseto will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Giulianova on the road.
