Regular Season Round 31: Orleans - Bourg 84-82

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (11-20) edged at home higher ranked JL Bourg (15-16) 84-82 on Sunday. Entente Orleans 45 made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Marcus Paige (183-1993, college: UNC) who led the winners and scored 23 points. His fellow American import forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Maxime Roos (202-1995) added 15 points respectively for JL Bourg in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Le Portel. Loser JL Bourg keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will meet at home higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JL Bourg will play against Provence Basket and hope to secure a win.
