Regular Season Round 28: Ragusa - Ruvo di Puglia 76-73

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Ragusa (17-10) edged at home 3rd ranked Ruvo di Puglia (19-9) 76-73 on Sunday. Power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-1989, agency: Players Group) fired 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mattia Da Campo (198-1997, college: Seattle) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Antonio Bocchino used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Daniele Merletto (175-1993) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Gianni Cantagalli (194-1988, agency: SLN) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ragusa maintains fifth position with 17-10 record. Loser Ruvo di Puglia keeps the third place with nine games lost. They share the position with Ancona and San Vendemiano. Ragusa will meet Molfetta (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Ruvo di Puglia will play against Monopoli AN (#14) and hope to secure a win.
