We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Zaprude (8-22) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Amphora (7-23) 86-79 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Donald Morris (180-1993) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Karlo Kos (196-1998) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Morris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Amphora players scored in double figures. Guard Kristijan Joksimovic (198-1995, college: Bethany, KS) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Slovenian guard Bruno Peric (194-1994) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Amphora have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Amphora maintains eleventh position with 7-23 record. Loser Zaprude keeps the tenth place with 22 games lost. Amphora will meet at home bottom-ranked Medvescak (#12) in the next round. Zaprude will play against Kvarner 2010 and hope to secure a win.
