The game in Rosh Pina was also quite interesting. Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-12) played at the court of Galil Gilboa (12-13). Galil Gilboa managed to secure a 9-point victory 84-75 on Sunday. Galil Gilboa made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Tyus Battle (197-1997, college: Syracuse) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Michael Brisker (184-1998) accounted for 23 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. Cameroonian-American forward JP Tokoto (200-1993, college: UNC) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international guard Bar Timor (190-1992, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galil Gilboa will meet at home Hapoel Beer Sheva (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Rishon (#12) in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to secure a win.
