An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zadar. Third ranked Split faced second-ranked Zadar. Guests from Split (23-7) defeated host Zadar (23-7) 101-91. They outrebounded Zadar 37-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Zadar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-1984) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. American swingman Justin Carter (193-1987, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and international guard Dominik Mavra (195-1994) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. Five Zadar players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Split have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Zadar. Split is looking forward to face league's leader Cibona in Zagreb in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zadar will play on the road against Cedevita Jr. in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
