Bottom-ranked Ionikos managed to get the second consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Iraklis in Aigaleo 74-62. Iraklis was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-1984, agency: Network Sports International) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Ionikos' coach Georgios Limniatis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Konstantinos Papadakis (190-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-1989, college: ECU, agency: Inception Sports) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Ionikos (6-16) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Iraklis. Iraklis lost third consecutive game. Ionikos is looking forward to face league's leader Olympiacos in Pireus in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Iraklis will play on the road against Promitheas (#5) in Patras and is hoping to win this game.
