Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked SIG Strasbourg (18-12) outplayed on the road 16th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (11-20) 104-71 on Wednesday. SIG Strasbourg forced 20 Entente Orleans 45 turnovers and outrebounded them 36-17 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. SIG Strasbourg shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Amine Noua (202-1997) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Four SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. Bruno Cingala-Mata (200-1993) came up with 13 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Entente Orleans 45 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SIG Strasbourg have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 18-12 record. Loser Entente Orleans 45 dropped to the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Le Portel. SIG Strasbourg will meet Chorale de Roanne (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez and hope to secure a win.
