An interesting game for Cibona (25-6) which played road game in Split against second-best Split (23-8). First ranked Cibona had an easy win 79-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Split. Cibona players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Split was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian swingman Amar Gegic (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 13 points and 9 assists for the winners and the former international swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-1999) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-1984) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Split's coach Srdjan Subotic rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Cibona have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-6 record. Split at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Zadar.
