Regular Season Round 31: Palma - Oviedo 74-69

There was an upset in S'Arenal where higher ranked Oviedo (17-14) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Palma (11-21) 74-69 on Sunday. It was a great evening for naturalized Bulgarian forward Konstantin Kostadinov (204-2003) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Slovakian center Tomas Pavelka (217-2000) helped adding 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Palma players scored in double figures. At the losing side Swedish swingman Karl Olle Lundqvist (199-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and DR Congolese center Herve Kabasele (208-1996) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Oviedo's coach Natxo Lezcano tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Palma moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Oviedo keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Palma will meet higher ranked Caceres (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oviedo will play against Lleida having rather not much hope for a victory.
