The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Vigevano as it allowed them to take a leadership position in B. Vigevano defeated 15th ranked Cecina at home 69-55. Cecina was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Gianluca Giorgi (200-1995) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Nicolo Gatti (196-1991) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Corrado Bianconi (202-1994) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Alessandro Sperduto (193-2000) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for Cecina. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Cecina at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 20 games lost. Cecina will play next round against Piombino trying to get back on the winning streak.
