There was a surprise result in Reggio Calabria where ninth ranked R.Calabria (16-13) defeated 4th placed Salerno (18-11) 65-61 on Sunday. Federico Ingrosso (190-1994) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (200-1990, agency: SLN) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Mattia Coltro (184-1997) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Niccolo Rinaldi (198-1993) scored 14 points. R.Calabria moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Salerno dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. R.Calabria will meet higher ranked Taranto (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Salerno will play against Molfetta and hope to secure a win.
