BK Duchess stormed past Vienna United to sweep AWBL Finals. Therefore BK Duchess capped their perfect season with the League trophy. The game was mostly controlled by BK Duchess. Vienna United managed to win fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vienna United to just 5 points in third quarter. BK Duchess held Vienna United to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.1 percent accuracy of the winners. BK Duchess forced 20 Vienna United turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Pia Jurhar (190-1995, college: Portland St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 8 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks. The international guard Lisa Zderadicka (168-1994, college: FGCU) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals to be named the MVP. BK Duchess' coach Franz Zderadicka felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Czech forward Emma Chechova (186-2004) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Bettina Kunz (180-1999) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds.
