Rather predictable result in Rosh Pina where eighth ranked Galil Gilboa (13-13) defeated 11th ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (8-18) 102-89 on Monday. Galil Gilboa made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard London Perrantes (187-1994, college: Virginia) fired 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. The other American import power forward Derek Cooke Jr (206-1991, college: Wyoming) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Galil Gilboa's coach Guy Kaplan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Antonio Blakeney (193-1996, college: LSU) produced 23 points and 5 assists and point guard Neta Segal (187-1995) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with H.Tel-Aviv and H.Galil Elion. Loser Hapoel Beer Sheva keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Galil Gilboa will meet Ironi Nes-Ziona (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Beer Sheva will play against Maccabi Rishon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
