Regular Season Round 32: Le Mans - Le Portel 80-65

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Le Mans and 11th ranked Le Portel had identical 11-19 record. This time Le Mans used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Le Portel 80-65 on Tuesday night. Le Mans made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Le Portel turnovers. The winners were led by Hugo Mienandi (200-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Lucas Veraghe (197-2001) supported him with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Le Mans' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Thomas Hanquiez (203-2001) did not help to save the game for Le Portel. Cameron Valcy (192-2003) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Le Mans (12-19) moved-up to tenth place. Le Portel lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Le Mans will meet Strasbourg (#14) on the road in the next round. Le Portel will play against Bourg and hope to secure a win.
