Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Reggio Emilia (15-15) defeated at home 15th ranked Fortitudo BO (9-21) 88-77 on Sunday. Reggio Emilia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Fortitudo BO's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Hungarian forward Mikael Hopkins (206-1993, college: Georgetown) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Andrea Cinciarini (191-1986) supported him with 8 points and 12 assists. Four Reggio Emilia players scored in double figures. Reggio Emilia's coach Attilio Caja used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) by the former international Pietro Aradori (195-1988) did not help to save the game for Fortitudo BO. American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points. Reggio Emilia maintains seventh position with 15-15 record. Fortitudo BO lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 21 games lost.
