Regular Season Round 33: Strasbourg - Le Mans 89-81

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Le Mans (16-16) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked SIG Strasbourg (19-13) 89-81 on Tuesday. SIG Strasbourg dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Le Mans' 40. SIG Strasbourg forced 19 Le Mans turnovers. American forward Matt Mitchell (198-1999, college: SDSU) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and the former international power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. SIG Strasbourg's coach Lassi Tuovi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-1994, college: Carleton, agency: BeoBasket) with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Terry Tarpey (195-1994, college: William & Mary) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds.
