The game without a history. Cluj Napoca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Pitesti's 28. They outrebounded Pitesti 48-31 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cluj Napoca players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Pitesti's players. It was an exceptional evening for international Stefan Grasu (200-2003, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bosnian-Croatian center Andrija Stipanovic (208-1986, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Cluj Napoca's coach Mihai Silvasan felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin forward Goran Gajovic (199-1988, agency: 011 Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and center Lucian Chirof (201-1991) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Pitesti in the defeat.
