Quarter-Finals Round 3: Konyaspor - TED Ankara 88-79

Konyaspor overcame TED Ankara to secure TBL semifinals berth. Strangely TED Ankara outrebounded Konyaspor 47-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by TED Ankara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Morgan (188-1997, college: Cornell) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Canadian-Nigerian power forward Derek Ogbeide (203-1997, college: Georgia, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Omer Kucuk (188-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Atakan Akcam (196-1996, college: UMass Dartmouth) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
