Zalgiris beat Siauliai in the consolation finals opener. Zalgiris shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Siauliai's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tyler Cavanaugh (206-1994, college: GWU) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian guard Janis Strelnieks (191-1989) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Zalgiris' coach Kazys Maksvytis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giedrius Staniulis (206-1991) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Issuf Sanon (193-1999, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points in the effort for Siauliai. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures.
