Fenerbahce opened win count in the Finals. They fired past Anadolu Efes in the opener. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Efes' 28. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech center Jan Vesely (213-1990, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). French guard Nando De Colo (196-1987) contributed with 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Fenerbahce's coach Aleksandar Djordjevic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. French Rodrigue Beaubois (190-1988, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 20 points and international point guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-1993) added 9 points and 8 assists in the effort for Efes.
