Regular Season Round 1: Miedzychod - Olesnica 83-78

Miedzychod used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Olesnica 83-78 on Saturday night. Swingman Jakub Nowak (186-1989) nailed 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Mikolaj Smarzy (199-1999) accounted for 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Mateusz Gron (196-1982) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and Dawid Piasecki (190-1995) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Olesnica in the defeat. Five Olesnica players scored in double figures. Olesnica's coach Marcin Stach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Miedzychod will meet Stal Ostrow 2 on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olesnica will play against Gimbasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
