But Twarde Pierniki was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Sopot 81-79 on Saturday night. American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Wesley Gordon (205-1994, college: Colorado) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Joey Brunk (211-1997, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Serbian forward Stefan Kenic (204-1997, college: Chattanooga) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Trefl and four Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Trefl will meet at home MKS DG in the next round. Twarde Pierniki will play against Asseco Arka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
