Regular Season Round 2: Nancy - Monaco 72-54

Nancy used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Monaco 72-54 on Tuesday night. Nancy dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Monaco's 26. Nancy forced 28 Monaco turnovers. Strangely Monaco outrebounded Nancy 49-30 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Guillaume Grotzinger (195-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Nolan Kingue (194-2003) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nancy players scored in double figures. Nancy's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Chris Tsamas (180, college: E.Wyoming) produced 24 points and Ambroise Couture (199-2002) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Nancy will meet Strasbourg on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Monaco will play against Roanne and hope to win that game.
