Regular Season Round 1: Loon-Plage - Tours 88-81

Loon-Plage used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Tours 88-81 on Tuesday night. Ukrainian point guard Klym Artamonov (185-1993) nailed 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American power forward Ron Anderson Jr. (203-1989, college: S.Florida) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Loon-Plage players scored in double figures. Polish point guard Jakub Schenk (184-1994) came up with 31 points and 7 assists and swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-1990) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Tours in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Loon-Plage will meet Vendee Challans on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tours will play against Vitre and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
