But Manresa was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Tenerife 89-70 on Thursday night. Tenerife shot 20 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Manresa only scored three points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Finnish Sasu Salin (190-1991) stepped up and scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Uruguayan point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-1991, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American point guard Jerrick Harding (185-1998, college: Weber St.) responded with 17 points and the other American import center Marcus Lee (208-1994, college: California) scored 12 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tenerife will meet at home Girona in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Manresa will play against Granada and hope to win that game.
