The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Korihait in Helsinki. Visitors were rolled over by Seagulls 110-74. The game without a history. Seagulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 30-of-35 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while Korihait only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Seagulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Korihait's players. Korihait was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Robert Hall III (193-1995, college: Cameron) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Zena Edosomwan (206-1993, college: Harvard) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Nick Stampley (198-1999, college: Troy) responded with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Trey Niemi (185-1998) scored 15 points. Five Seagulls and four Korihait players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Seagulls will play against Nokia on the road in the next round. Korihait will play against Honka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
