Granada used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Logrono 80-74 on Saturday night. Salvadorean point guard Alejandra Linares (158-2001) fired 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Maria Cerqueira (174-1974) chipped in 17 points. Four Granada players scored in double figures. Swingman Carla Zabala (177-1999) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Maria Gonzalez (175-1998) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Logrono's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Granada will meet Almeria on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Logrono will play against Cortegada and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the LF Challenge just one year after relegation.
