Regular Season Round 1: Girona B - Almozara 75-65

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Almozara on the court of Girona B. Visitors were defeated by Girona B 75-65. Strangely Almozara outrebounded Girona B 57-29 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toni Espinosa (195-1996) nailed 16 points and 4 steals for the winning side and swingman Kevin Torres (-2003) accounted for 14 points. Jorge Bermudez (187-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and center Victor Alijarde (200-1997) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Almozara in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Girona B will play against Joventut 2 in Badalona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Almozara will play at home against Sol Girones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
