Tortona used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Trento 76-70 on Sunday night. Tortona made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Trento turnovers. Strangely Trento outrebounded Tortona 49-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Semaj Christon (190-1992, college: Xavier) fired 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. His fellow American import Mike Daum (206-1995, college: S.Dakota St.) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Diego Flaccadori (193-1996) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-1993) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tortona will meet Reggio Emilia on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Trento will play against Treviso and hope to win that game.
