Regular Season Round 3: Oppsal - Ammerud Bskt 79-64

There was a surprise result when Oppsal (1-4) beat Ammerud Bskt (1-3) in Oslo 79-64 on Wednesday. Oppsal made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Ammerud Bskt outrebounded Oppsal 40-26 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Oppsal made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American center Jacob Tryon (211-1998, college: Samford) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks. Etienne Aspevik accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Oppsal's coach Jarl Jespersen used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swedish swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-1995) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and forward Roy Nwachukwu (196-1990, college: Seminole St.) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Ammerud Bskt in the defeat. Oppsal will meet at home Gimle in the next round. Ammerud Bskt will play against Asker Aliens (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
