Regular Season Round 1: KR - Grindavik 83-90

Very significant was Grindavik's 90-83 road victory against KR. Grindavik made 26-of-31 charity shots (83.9 percent) during the game, while KR only scored eight points from the stripe. American guard David Azore (194-1999, college: UT Arlington) nailed 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and the former international guard Olafur Olafsson (194-1990) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds. American-French forward Jordan Semple (201-1992, college: Chico St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Thorvaldur Arnason (198-2002) added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for KR in the defeat. Four KR players scored in double figures. Grindavik will play against Valur in Reykjavik in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KR will play on the road against Breidablik in Kopavogur to get more than just one victory in their record.
