Regular Season Round 3: Kaysersberg - Caen 64-83

There was a minor upset when Kaysersberg (1-2) was outplayed at home by Caen (2-2) 83-64 on Friday. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kaysersberg's 30. It was a great evening for Kenyan-American forward Joel Awich (201-1993, college: Cal Poly) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Demond Watt (200-1989, college: TAMUCC) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Caen's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Aaron Anderson (178-1991, college: N.Dakota) with 16 points and Boukhary Cissoko (198-2000) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kaysersberg players scored in double figures. Caen will meet at home STB Le Havre (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaysersberg will play against Orchesien BC (#5) in Orchies and hope to win that game.
