Regular Season Round 3: Hrunamenn - Armann 96-83

Very important is a road loss of Armann (0-0) against Hrunamenn (1-2) on Friday night. Visiting Armann was defeated by Hrunamenn in Fludir 96-83. Hrunamenn forced 22 Armann turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Ahmad Gilbert (200-1996, college: St.Thomas, FL) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. American-Hungarian forward Sam Burt (201-1994, college: FPU) accounted for 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. Burt is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hrunamenn's coach Konrad Tota used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American guard Austin Bracey (190-1990) came up with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American center William Thompson (203-1993, college: Felician) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Armann in the defeat. Four Armann players scored in double figures. Hrunamenn will meet Fjolnir (#8) in the next round. Armann will play against Alftanes (#1) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
