Regular Season Round 3: Nidaros Jets - Baerum Basket 42-98

Very expected game when Nidaros Jets (0-6) were smashed by Baerum Basket (3-2) in Tromdheim 98-42 on Saturday. Baerum Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 22. Baerum Basket forced 33 Nidaros Jets turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Sjur Dyb Berg (201-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-1989) accounted for 27 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals for the winning side. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Jakob Baiden (194-1993) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tor Ringen (201) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Nidaros Jets in the defeat. Baerum Basket will meet at home Kongsberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play against Asker Aliens (#10) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
