Regular Season Round 2: Cordoba - Al-Qazeres 78-54

The biggest surprise of round 2 in LF Challenge took place in Cordoba where host Cordoba crushed Al-Qazeres 78-54 on Saturday evening. Cordoba forced 19 Al-Qazeres turnovers. The best player for the winners was Italian-Brazilian Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) who scored 20 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Serbian center Vladinka Erak (192-1984) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cordoba players scored in double figures. Cordoba's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kate Andersen (175-1997, college: Portland) produced 17 points and American-Jamaican guard Crystal Primm (180-1997, college: FAU) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Al-Qazeres will play next round against strong Real Canoe trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Cordoba will try to continue on its current victory against Paterna on the road.
